How together are we?

The year 2020 is testing us all to our limits!

It is testing our togetherness and separation in many ways, the results are showing on a global scale. It’s clearer than ever that although we exist in the same space, we live in different realities and experience the world in different ways. But do we experience isolation (mental and physical) differently?

For many, the quarantine time was the very first experience of an outside force exercising control over their physical freedom. Many became more aware of the space they as well as others occupy in the world. Questions like freedom of movement and existence, freedom to be one’s self without restrictions. But did that awareness bring insight to the realities of people, to whom these restrictions (in their various forms) are a part of everyday life?

Especially when the quarantine restrictions are temporary whereas restrictions of others are permanent and even normalized.
Each is entitled to the space their bodies and minds occupy, that space should not be a privilege yet in the world we live in it is.

It's about time to change that.
